PIANO 2023: Competitor

 

Yeram Park graduated from Yewon School and Seoul Arts High School, and then studied under Aviram Reichert at Seoul National University. After that, she completed her master’s degree at Hochschule für Musik und Theater München in Germany under Antti Siirala. Currently, she is studying under Professor Christian A. Pohl at Hochschule für Musik und Theater “Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy” in Leipzig, pursuing Meisterklasse Konzertexamen. During her time at Seoul National University, she received an award for performance excellence and achieved 3rd prize in the Joong-ang Competition, Sung Jung Music Competition, and Ewha Kyunghyang Competition. She also received 2nd prize in the Korea Chopin Competition and the Suri Music Competition, as well as the Grand Prize in the Samick Seiler Competition, establishing her presence in the domestic music scene. In 2020, she received 2nd prize in the Epinal International Piano Competition, 2nd prize in the Classic Pure Competition, and 4th prize in the Israel Concerto Competition, solidifying her position on the international stage. Additionally, she has been invited by Edition Peters to hold a house concert(2021) and received the Audience Award at the Gala Concert held at the International Klavier Academy Murrhardt(2022) and Louis Spohr Festival(2023). In November 2021, she performed at the Deutschlandfunk Kultur Radio Live Hörprobe – A podium for students at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater “Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy” Leipzig, which was broadcasted live on German national radio. Currently, she has been selected as a scholarship recipient for the 2022/2023 Elfrun Gabriel Foundation at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater “Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy” Leipzig, providing her with a scholarship and opportunities to perform in various cities in Germany.
