PIANO 2023: Competitor

 

Momoko Mizutani, born August 10, 1991 graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts. She won two first prizes and one second prize in separate editions of the PTNA Piano Competition in Tokyo, second prize in the Tokyo Music Competition, and placed fourth in the Hamamatsu International Piano Competition. She has also received the Dorothy Mackenzie Award and scholarships from the Yamaha Music Foundation, the Aoyama Gakuin Educational Foundation and the Munetsugu Foundation. She has performed with ensembles such as the Japan Philharmonic Orchestra, the New Japan Philharmonic (both based in Tokyo), the Sapporo Symphony Orchestra and the Hyogo Performing Arts Centre Orchestra in Nishinomiya. She has performed at venues such as the International Keyboard Institute in New York. She continues her training with Fumiko Eguchi at the Showa Piano Art Academy and with Claudio Soares.
