PIANO 2023: Competitor

 

Born in Conegliano (Treviso) in 1998, Alessandro Villalva began studying the piano at the age of 5. Student of the professor Siavush Gadjiev, at the “Slovenian Center for Musical Education E. Komel” in Gorizia, in 2013 he completed his pre-academic studies at the B. Maderna Conservatory in Cesena with full marks and honors. In March 2010 he won the “Rachmaninov Prize” at the “Rachmaninov Wettbewerb” International Competition in Frankfurt am Main; in 2011 he became second prizewinner and won the special prize for the performance of J.S. Bach at the International Piano Competition in Usti nad Labem, Czech Republic. In June 2011 he became the winner of the 1st International Piano Talents Competition in Milan. In 2021 he won the 1st prize at the International Competition City of Minerbio (BO). In 2022, he is Winner at the “Master Orchestra” International Concerto Competition in Brescia, performing Rachmaninov’s Piano concerto Op.18 and the 1st Prize at the Rospigliosi Piano Competition. He has been invited to perform at prestigious musical events (such as the Lucca Classica Festival) and has held solo recitals and chamber music concerts in Slovenia, Austria, and Italy. In addition to having taken lessons with great pianists and musicians such as Jacques Rouvier, Pavel Gililov, Imre Rohmann, and Natalia Trull, since 2017 he has been studying at the Mozarteum University of Salzburg with Professor Pietro De Maria, obtaining the degree of “Bachelor of Arts” in 2021, and continuing with his Master-Studies. At the beginning of 2023, he was chosen to be one of students to experience the lessons on W. A. Mozart with Alfred Brendel. From March 2022 he started teaching in München (DE).
